dc.description.abstract Cadmium chloride has no effect on progesterone as shown by the response of the uterus of ovariectomized rats primed with estrogen. Typical progestloual changes, including a mobilization of glycogen, are consistently encountered. Such resistance of progesterone is in marked contrast to the inhibitory influence of this metal on the role of estrogen and androgen. en
