Abstract:
A series of novel benzocoumarin amide derivatives have been synthesized and evaluated for their antithrombotic activity in an established model of mouse thrombosis. Compound 8 showed 45% protection, whereas, standard drug aspirin provided 37% protection. Furthermore, compounds 5, 7, and 8 were significantly shown anti-platelets and anti-coagulant action. In that way suggesting its potential as novel antithrombotic agents.
