Abstract

Controlled Cascade. A divergent, diastereoselective and efficient synthesis of allocolchicinoids from allylamides prepared from Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts, via a cascade Suzuki-Michael-Carbocyclization sequence is described. The utility of the compounds as possible inhibitors of insulin aggregation is also presented
