dc.description.abstract The action of hayatin methiodide, a potent muscle relaxant, on cardiovascular, respiratory and gastro-intestinal systems and on the autonomic Ilanillia has been investigated. A typical histamine response is' obtained by intra-dermal injections of the compound. The activity of the compound is the result of the blocking of neuromyal transmission in competition with acetyl choline; Other pharmacodynamic properties of the compound are similar to those of d-tubocurarine chloride, but are less marked. en
