dc.description.abstract The synthesis of some substituted diaryl thiosulfinates as potential antitubercular and antibacterial agents is reported. The compounds were synthesized by condensing aryl sulfinyl chloride with sodium thiophenolates; one of the compounds, phenyl-4-toluene thiosulfinate, was also synthesized by reacting thiophenol with ethyl-4-toluenesulfonate. The yields of the different compounds range from 50 to 70 per cent. en
