Abstract:
From the roots of Berberis asiatica Roxb., berberine, palmitine, jatrorrhizine, columbamine, tetrahydropalmitine, berbamine, oxyberberine and oxyacanthine have been isolated. Berberine and palmitine occur as chlorides.
