The structures of hayatinin and hayatin, two of the bis-benzyltetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloids isolated from the roots of Cissampelos pareira Linn. (Menispermaceae)were disscussed earlier.In the
present communication, the structure and stereochemistry of another alkaloid-hayatidin, isolated from the same plant-are described.
