[Alanine3-L-isoleucine5] angiotensin II was synthesized by stepwise elongation of the peptide chain on copolystyrene-divinylbenzene using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as the condensing agent. The purified end product was obtained in 55% yield and possessed 68% of the pressor activity of [isoleucine5]- angiotensim II.
