Organocatalysis with Glycosyl Amino acids: Direct Asymmetric Aldol Reaction of Acetone with Aldehydes

Abstract

Direct asymmetric aldol reaction of acetone with aromatic aldehydes using hitherto unprecedented glycosyl acyclic amino acid as a new organocatalyst with high enantioselectivity and good yields is reported.
