dc.description.abstract An environmentally benign and atom economical protocol has been developed for the synthesis of N-(pyridine-2-yl)amides from aldehydes and 2-aminopyridines under mild condition. This approach required Cu(OTf)2 as a catalyst, molecular iodine as an oxidant under anionic miceller catalysis in aqueous medium at room temperature. en
