Abstract:
Synthesis of a branched trisaccharide and a branched tetrasaccharide related to the repeating units of the cell wall lipopolysaccharide of Azospirillumbrasilense SR80 as their p-methoxyphenyl (PMP) glycosides has been achieved following sequential glycosylation strategy in good yield. All intermediate steps are high yielding and the glycosylation steps are highly stereoselective.
